Bank president. Said to be Geneva OH's first millionaire. His home was noteworthy for its beautiful garden with imported trees, a fountain, & a pool.

Isaac made Charley a partner in the business in 1874. He and Sophie first lived on Grant Street and then bought the house at 81 Walnut Street and made it the family home. Sophie was a member of the Utopian Club. She died on 10-12-1925 in Geneva and was buried on 10-14 in Evergreen Cemetery next to her daughter, Marjorie. Charley sold the store in 1933. He was instrumental in the funding for the erection of the Geneva Library. He was on the Board of Directors of the Geneva Savings Bank, became its Vice President after the name had been changed to the Geneva Savings & Trust Company and finally its President. He was also President of Champion Hardware Company (moved from Cleveland to Geneva in 1904) and on the Board of Directors of American Fork & Hoe Company. Finally, he was a member of the Anti-Saloon League and fought hard for the 19th Amendment. Charley died on 6-19-1946 in Geneva and was buried in Evergreen Cemetery.
